People Who Started Where You Are
I like that I can go at my own pace. The instructor explains each movement clearly, and being able to pause and replay a section makes a big difference for a beginner like me.
A calm, easy-to-follow introduction to Tai Chi. The illustrated slides are helpful when I forget where my hands are supposed to go. I’ve only just started, but so far I’m enjoying it.
Really nice and simple 😊 I was worried it would be too complicated, but the lessons are broken down into small steps. The seated pack is a thoughtful extra too.
Good for practising at home without having to fit a class into my week. I can watch a module, try it, then come back to it later. That flexibility is what I wanted.
The pace is gentle and the instructions are clear. I appreciate that it doesn't promise miracles; it gives me a straightforward way to learn the movements and practise regularly.
Quite helpful for a total beginner. I do need to replay a couple of the movements, but that’s easy enough. The printable cards are useful reminders.
Lovely little course! The voice is calm, the visuals make sense, and I can practise in my living room whenever I feel like it. 🌿
I bought this because I wanted something uncomplicated to start with. Six modules feels manageable, and I like having a guided review at the end. Easy to dip into, no schedule to keep up with.
Good Questions, Honest Answers
Yes. The course starts from zero with Your First Steps in Tai Chi, then adds one movement per module in a fixed order. You are never asked to do something you have not been shown first.
The names can sound intimidating, but each is just a slow, flowing movement, taught with illustrated slides and a calm voice. Pause and replay anything.
No equipment. Wear comfortable clothes and stable, flat shoes. You need room for a few small steps and arms stretched to the sides, about the size of an ordinary living room.
Many people practice near a sturdy chair or counter for reassurance. You also need a screen, and a printer (or print shop) for the bonus PDFs.
The standing course is for people who are comfortable moving on their own. Movements are slow and you set the pace. If you ever feel unsteady, stop, hold something sturdy, or use the Seated Practice Pack.
Please check with your doctor before starting any new exercise. This is an educational practice program, not a medical treatment or rehabilitation.
We would rather be honest than make big promises. We do not promise any health result, pain relief, protection from falls or results within a set time.
What we do promise: a clear way to learn a real sequence at home, with slides, a patient narrator and printable supports to help you remember.
Six video modules (Your First Steps in Tai Chi, Step Forward with Confidence, Hands and Feet in Harmony, Flow with Cloud Hands, Connect Your Movements, Your Guided Tai Chi Practice) plus two printable PDFs. Lessons use illustrated slides with voice-over, in English.
Access is digital and instant after checkout. Watch on a computer, tablet or phone. You pay once, $37, no subscription.
It is a different style, and often a calmer one. Slides show the position of the body while a narrator talks you through each step. Nobody is watching you and nobody moves ahead of you.
You control the pace: pause on a tricky step, replay as many times as you wish, practice in your slippers.
There is no deadline. Some people repeat a module a few times before moving on. Others watch once, then practice with the card in hand. Both are fine.
The final module is a guided review that joins every movement into the full sequence.
Two optional PDF guides, separate from the course and not needed for it. Steady Nights is a practical evening routine guide for people over 60. Steady Steps is a guide to a daily walk at your own pace. Each is $17.
They are general lifestyle guides, not medical advice.
